The Hydac RFM Series Low-Pressure Filters are drop-in replacements for “tank topper” filters. They have a lightweight, compact design suitable for most fluids, including water, hydrocarbon fuels, mineral oils, phosphate ester fluids and other synthetic oils. The compact configurations and features make the RFM Series particularly suitable for mobile applications.
These filters are constructed with light but durable polyamide housings and lids. An array of sizes and port orientations provide flexibility for OEM integrations. All models have aluminum alloy heads with 2- or 4-bolt flanges. All models have bypass valves to prevent over-pressurizing the filter elements. Optional clogging indicators provide assurance that spent filter elements will not go unnoticed.
Optional Contaminant Catchers
Some models feature filter bowls that also serve as contamination baskets. These baskets capture larger debris and prevent it from impacting the filter element. They are easily removed to allow the filter element to be changed.
Clogging Indicators
All Hydac RFM Series filters have ports for clogging indicators, and many indicator types are available as options when ordering. These include simple pop-up flag indicators and those with electrical switches, and gauges. Combined with the built-in bypass valve, indicators offer layers of protection for over-pressurization and contaminant carryover.
